CCACO is an accountable care organization, a group of physicians with a contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, responsible for coordinating the care of about 12,000 patients in the NYC Chinese community. Our work takes place on the cutting edge of healthcare reform; we work with federal and state governments, and other organizations, to reduce costs and maintain a high quality of care for patients. Our daily operations involve ensuring that our physicians comply with quality incentive programs and data reporting requirements.

Job Description

The Chinese Community Accountable Care Organization (CCACO) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Associate to join the organization on a fulltime basis. The general responsibilities of the position are:

  • working with physicians and their practice teams directly with multiple incentive program projects
  • assisting with managing data reporting according to federal, state and private payer quality incentive programs
  • meeting with physicians in the New York City area to recommend and facilitate practice workflow improvements and data collection for quality incentive programs
  • creating and submitting policies and documentation for individual practices’ quality incentive program applications completing requests for additional information and audits of submitted data, if any
  • coordinating and attending educational meetings and events for physicians
  • creating marketing materials and newsletters for meetings and events
  • creating and maintaining physician information databases

Candidates should be responsible and independent workers with excellent communication skills. A background in healthcare is not required, as significant training will be provided, but candidates should be fast learners who are comfortable quickly mastering new material and systems. The candidate should ideally be at least somewhat knowledgeable in Cantonese and/or Mandarin, as well as Microsoft Office. Salary: $35,000

Job Description

The Chinese Community Accountable Care Organization (CCACO) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Jr. Data Analyst to join the organization on a fulltime basis. In this role, you will execute assigned projects and deliverables to support analytic activities and improvement opportunities aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and highest quality patient care. You will coordinate and participate in the planning, definition, design, and implementation of all reports and applications in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders. You will manipulate, analyze, interpret and summarize data through presentations in order to facilitate decision making for stakeholders and communicate findings of analyses. In addition, you will be responsible for data extracts, statistical analyses, data transformations and presentation of relevant assessments related to quality of care, process metrics and outcomes measurements. The general responsibilities of the position are:

  • meeting with physicians in the New York City area to recommend and facilitate practice workflow improvements and data collection for quality incentive programs
  • coordinating and attending educational meetings and events for physicians
  • creating and maintaining physician information databases
  • Manage, integrate, and analyze information from claims, clinical, and financial data sources as core engines of ACO operations
  • Update ACO database to be able to efficiently produce recurring and ad-hoc reports with the most current information
  • Develop business intelligence tools to further support analytics self service offering
  • Design, develop, and maintain metrics, reports, and dashboards to drive key business decisions
  • Reviews current reports and outputs for accuracy, efficiency and viability
  • Identifies improvements regarding report efficiencies and platform effectiveness and information provided to leadership, providers, staff and patients
  • Effective implementation of internal or external technology applications that enable seamless clinical operations and high-quality patient care Education
  • Serving as a data liaison between departments

Competencies

  • Strong analytic skills and ability to use a variety of software such as Python, R, SQL, data visualization software, other related statistical programs, MS Excel
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data; maintaining and managing large datasets, including ability to ensure the integrity of data
